Computable Records: The Next Generation of the EMR Conversation
Rimpiläinen, Sanna
This research reports looks at examples of computable medical records around the world in 2016. Computable records are set to drive the evolution of Electronic Health Records (EHRs), aiming for interoperability, portability, and comprehensive health data. These records, readable by humans and machines, will contain a patient's entire medical history and declare their fidelity level, ensuring users can assess completeness and accuracy. Unique and ideally open-source, these records will support a health status scoring system and facilitate adoption across various stakeholders.
