My role is to support a number of DHI business development and project delivery teams and their external partners in the swift and effective evaluation and development of digital health innovations.
I’m responsible for the smooth running of the application intake process, sense checking submitted materials and offering advice in line with DHI project intake criteria.
This involves acting as the first point of contact for multiple internal DHI project teams, supporting other team members in activities relating to external engagement, the evaluation of applications and project delivery, which involves coordinating the work of multiple people across DHI partner organisations within a project management structure set out by the DHI Programme Manager.
Overall, I provide project support to 20 external project teams funded by the DHI and 22 external project teams in the process of being funded. Acting as a DHI first point of contact, I monitor compliance with DHI project governance guidelines, collect regular project reports and act as a filter for appropriate issues arising, and escalate to Senior Management when appropriate.
My experiences across a range of disciplines, with various companies, across a variety of sectors coupled with my positivity and enthusiasm fits well with the profile needed for working in the Digital Health and Care Institute.
My experience supporting sales teams across different financial companies for several years, experience as an NHS volunteer at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and extensive academic studies provides me with the skills necessary to engage and work effectively with business, civic and academic organisations in an attempt to bridge the gap between them.
I have greatly enjoyed my first year at the DHI Project Management Office, helping to shape the research and development of projects in order to make them a reality within a dynamic and multi-sector environment.
