I provide contract & commercial support, particularly to the Project Management Office team. My role at DHI primarily comprises drafting, negotiating and arranging for execution of collaboration agreements between academic, business and civic partners for digital health-related technology development projects. In terms of other legal agreements, I have also been involved in putting CDAs and MOUs in place with potential strategic partners. The role requires me to participate as part of the DHI’s evaluation team to determine which projects to accept into our portfolio and to work with business engagement colleagues to develop commercial exploitation strategies for digital health technologies.
I have experience of the university research environment and 18 years working in the areas of intellectual property, technology transfer and contracts. Prior to the DHI, I worked in the technology transfer offices at the Universities of Cambridge, Leicester & Nottingham dealing with wide range of physical science and engineering technologies including some medical device technologies.
