The finance administrator role means I am responsible for managing all aspects of the financial administration of the organisation.
My role includes managing efficient and effective payment processing and recording, preparing monthly reporting and reconciliation to different accounting systems, establishing appropriate financial controls and working with the DHI budget holders in relation to cost management and forecasting.
I am very new to the world of digital health and care having only graduated from the University of Glasgow a year ago with a Maths degree under my belt, but I am very dedicated to my learning about the financial arena combined with learning how I can apply my skills to the world of health and care. I started DHI as an intern working with the Industry Health & Care Engagement Managers with whom I learned about all existing and possible projects, and then with my knowledge about DHI and from what I had learned at university I secured my current position. I may not have a lot of experience yet but thanks to DHI I’m getting there!
I am inspired by all the great minds that I work with in DHI, learning where and how everyone started their careers and then seeing where they are now, working so tirelessly to further the future of digital health and care in Scotland. It’s really inspiring because it makes me want to make my mark on this world like they’re doing right now.
